Take A Seat And Look

Dimitrea Tokunbo

On top of being someone I know and have great admiration for, she also is a brilliant artist and writer. More about her work after the jump.

Dimitrea Tokunbo is the illustrator of three children’s books, Sidewalk Chalk: Poems of the City by Carole Boston Weatherford, Has Anybody Lost a Glove? by G. Francis Johnson and Amadi’s Snowman by Katia Novet Saint-Lot. She has written two children’s books for Scholastic, Together, illustrated by Jennifer Gwynne Oliver and the upcoming title, The Sound of Kwanzaa, illustrated by Lisa Cohen. Tokunbo has both written and illustrated stories for Read and Rise Magazine published by Scholastic Inc. and the Urban League to encourage literacy for inner city children.
